Passing 2 Did not complete enough passes into midfielders/forwards
1st Touch 2 1st touch was inconsistent at right back
Crossing 2 A couple of quality serves
Finishing 2 Didn't find any chances
Heading (Defensive) 2
1v1 Defending 2 Good speed and can keep up with most players. Tackling ability needs work.

Category Score Comments
Decision Making 2 Was out of position at times, has the speed to make it up. Passing decisions were not consistent
Communication 2 He became more comfortable with time
Executes Under Pressure 1 One of his biggest weaknesses was being put under pressure. He would move into great spots with a run (or on the dribble) and struggled at times with the next play.
Movement off Ball 3 Solid. Good time and speed to get into attacking areas.
Small-Sided Game 2 Striggled with tight spaces and pressure.
Full-Field Game 2 At his best when he showed his speed up and down the right side.
Ability to Play out of Back 2 Too many errors with the ball for the next level at this time
Set Piece Defending 2 Not the tallest but did well to make contact and prevent open chances
Ability to Join Attack from Defensive Position 3 Good timing. Needs to improve in attacking half conections after receiving the ball
Ability to Cover other DMs 2 Positional play was ok. Reactions were a step slow, but his speed can help him make up for mistakes.

Combine Coach's Overall Comments
Bomar began the Combine as a right midfielder to accommodate other teammates, but he eventually played at his normal right back position. He looked good going forward with his speed and timing. The final cross or shot needs work but he was able to get into good positions in the final third. The weakest part of his game was technical. He had trouble in possession when passes were given to him at right back. Perhaps a lack of sharpness due to limited match play recently led to a bad showing. Defensive positioning was solid. His speed made up for any mistakes he made tactically. Bomar was unable to participate in the later stages of the event but showed steady improvement during the large matches.
