Combine Coach's Overall Comments
Did fairly well as an outside player or forward. Some good technical abilities and athleticism although needs to be a bit fitter and stronger still. Can certainly play PDL now and may need a year there to hone skills before looking at a higher level. Good upside and potential.

Collegiate Soccer Career

4-time all-conference performer. For his career he played in 76 games, making 73 starts at midfield. Nguyen had 27 goals, 15 assists, scored 69 points, tallied 251 shots, 102 shots on goal, and had six game winning. He finishes his career ranked fourth in the OU record books in career goals scored (27), fourth in career assists (15), and third in career points (69).
2011: In his senior season Nguyen played and started in all 18 games on his way to being named First Team All-KCAC at midfield. He scored seven goals, had two assists, 16 points, 52 shots, 19 shots on goal and three game winning goals.
2010: Nguyen started and played in 19 games in his junior season. Because of his efforts on the field, he earned Second Team All-KCAC. Nguyen scored six goals and had six assists for 18 points. He had 85 shots on the season with 31 of them being on goal. Nguyen finished the season ranked 13th in the NAIA in shots per game (4.4).
2009: As a sophomore Nguyen played in all 20 games, starting 18. He scored a career high 10 goals and tallied three assists on his way to earning Second Team All-KCAC honors.
2008: Nguyen earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC in his freshman season. He played in all 19 games, starting 18. Nguyen scored four goals and recorded four assists.
