Scouting Report
Technical (1 - 5: 5=strongest)
Category Score Comments
Dribbling 3 Decent, but needs to be better
Passing 3 Would have liked to have seen him stick in more crisp passes. With a purpose.
1st Touch 3 Was adequate if not under pressure. Needs improvement on setting up for his second touch
Crossing NA
Finishing NA As an AMF or MF, did not get into scoring areas
Heading 2 Average athletic ability to compete in the air with bigger an more athletic midfielders

Tactical (1 - 5: 5=strongest)
Category Score Comments
Decision Making 3 Needs to increase speed of play. If he had the time, he could pick out target
Communication 3 Soft spoken but needed more assertiveness and direction if playing this position at the next level.
Executes Under Pressure 3 Needed time to make the correct decision rather than being proactive
Movement Off Ball 2 Seemed to play at on pace. Would have liked to have seen the mentality of "where do I need to be while the ball is not around me?"
Small-Sided Game 3 Played decently, but was waiting for more creativity and dynamic assertiveness. Seemed tired at times.
Full-Field Game 3 Played his role in middle 1/3 but did not separate himself. Trailed the speed of play.

Physical Ability (1 - 5: 5=strongest)
Category Score Comments
Strength 3 Would have liked to have seen more tenacity and physicality at this position. The will to win balls and cover space.
Speed 2 Played at one speed.
Quickness 2 Not extremely quick, so it was very important to always be in proper position.
Endurance 2 I think this hurt his performance...not having the engine to control the MF
Agility 3 Adequate when having time on the ball

Combine Coach's Overall Comments
Overall, a steady midfielder but lacked pace and movement to make him stand out. Field awareness a challenge at times and needed to increase his speed of play. Think lack of fitness played a factor. Played at one speed. For the position he was playing, needed to make things happen or be a "play maker", which did not occur. Would have liked to have seen more penetrating balls forward instead of back and lateral possession.
